Wound Care Registered Nurse

Job Overview

• Travel assignment in Rhinelander, Wisconsin
• 13-week contract
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Day shift: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• 4 days per week
• Start date: ASAP

Work Setting

• Outpatient procedural department
• May also support inpatient and ED consultations
• Float coverage may include a wound clinic in Woodruff, Wisconsin

Schedule Notes

• No weekends
• No holidays
• May be low censused and placed on call
• Call-back minimum is 2 hours

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Wound Care (2 years of experience)
• Wound Care experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• Wound and ostomy certification or extensive wound/ostomy clinic experience
• Wound and ostomy experience

Clinical Skills / Procedures

• Topical wound care
• Compression wraps
• Wound VACs
• Total contact casting
• Conservative sharp wound debridement
• Ostomy pouching system changes
• Peristomal skin breakdown treatment

Additional Notes

• EPIC charting experience is required
• Scrubs of any type are allowed; closed-toe shoes are required
• No fake nails or nail polish
• Contractors must live outside 50 miles
