Cath Lab Tech (Travel) – Pikeville, Kentucky

Job Details

Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week (36 hours not accepted)
Call Requirements: 7-8 call days every 6 weeks
Weekend/Holiday Requirements: 1-2 weekends every 6 weeks; holidays as needed
Primary Location: Pikeville, KY (75 mile radius rule applies)

Responsibilities

Assist with insertion of catheters into the heart
Measure and administer special fluids during procedures
Ensure EKG equipment is functioning prior to surgery
Monitor EKG readouts during procedures and alert physician to abnormalities

Unit Information

Facility size: 340 beds

Required Qualifications

Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Kentucky
Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
Associate degree or certificate
BLS issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
ARRT certification
EKG certification
Experience with Epic electronic health record system
