Occupational Therapist - Wisconsin (Boscobel)

Job Type

• Permanent Placement (Not a Travel Contract)
• Full-time, 8-hour day shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

Contract Length

• Permanent position (no specified end date)

Work Schedule

• Guaranteed 32 hours per week
• On-call rotation: Saturday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, once every 5 weeks
• Weekend requirement due to on-call rotation
• Holiday work is optional
• Clinic hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (outpatient clinic closed on weekends and holidays)
• Minimal on-call/call back requirements

Location & Setting

• Work performed in outpatient, inpatient, and swing bed settings within the same geographic location
• Facility includes a 24-bed critical access hospital with attached ED and specialty clinics
• Rehab services include physical, occupational, speech, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation

Caseload & Patient Population

• Typical daily caseload: 5-8 scheduled patient sessions
• Patient diagnoses include orthopedic injuries, post-surgical, general deconditioning, acute and chronic pain, neurological disorders, age-related conditions, and some pediatric referrals
• Patients across the lifespan

Job Duties & Expectations

• Provide occupational therapy services in acute, subacute, outpatient, and swing bed settings
• Outpatient evaluations typically 60 minutes; treatment sessions usually 45 minutes
• Inpatient sessions typically 45 minutes, frequency and duration based on patient need
• May assist with lymphedema services under supervision (experience helpful but not required)
• Charting: Epic experience preferred

Team Composition

• 4 physical therapists and 2 PT assistants
• 1 occupational therapist, 1 OT assistant, and 3 contract PRN occupational therapists
• 2 contract PRN speech therapists
• 2 rehab scheduling specialists
• 1 exercise physiologist and 1 RN in cardiopulmonary rehab

Requirements

• Wisconsin Occupational Therapist License
• AHA BLS Certification
• Minimum 1+ year experience as an Occupational Therapist in a hospital setting
• Experience in acute, subacute, and outpatient OT preferred
• Business casual dress code; scrubs allowed/optional

Additional Notes

• Orientation week not guaranteed
• Candidate must start medical compliance portion within 48 hours of offer acceptance (24 hours for quick start)
