Job Description

The CT Technologist is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatients and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. Key responsibilities include:

• Performing basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C-arm procedures, and OR imaging services.
• Demonstrating proficiency in routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures, including CT of the head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, extremities, and biopsy/drainage procedures.
• Knowledge of processing of CT systems, surgical/sterile procedures, studies with or without contrast media, and cross-sectional anatomy.

Requirements

• Licensure: Must be a graduate of an accredited AMA school, registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and licensed by the state as a general radiographer.
• Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience required; 4 years preferred.
  • Competency in both CT and X-ray is necessary.
  • Experience in the OR and working with C-arms is required.
• Training: CT training preferred, but training will be provided if not already trained.
• Additional Knowledge: Familiarity with Radiology is essential.

Work Schedule

• Shift: Monday through Wednesday, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM
• Call Requirement: 4 days of call per month
• Hours Guarantee: 36-hour guarantee
