Job Opportunity: RN - ICU (Travel)

Location: Riverside, California
Unit: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 35
• Number of Staff: 94
• Shift Staffing (dependent on census):

  • Day Shift: 1 CNC (charge), 1 PCT, up to 19 RNs
  • Night Shift: 1 CNC (charge), 1 PCT, up to 19 RNs
• Patient Ratios: 1:2
• Equipment Used: EVDs, ventilators, EV1000, rapid infusers, Ceribell
• EMR System: Meditech

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) in ICU
• Minimum Years of ICU Experience: 2 years
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Certification
• Licenses: Registered Nurse License

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in neurological, trauma, or cardiac ICU
• Experience as a preceptor and/or charge nurse

Typical Procedures Performed

• Central line/HD/a-line insertion
• Wound care
• Post-neurological intervention care

Work Environment & Expectations

• Personality Fit: Positive, upbeat, hard working
• Floating Areas: SICU, CVU, PCU, ED holds (ICU patients)
• Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs
• Weekends: Every other weekend (Day shift covers Saturday/Sunday; Night shift covers Friday/Saturday)
