Overview

• Travel RN position in Springfield, Missouri
• Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48
• Assignment length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in a(n) Inpatient setting
• Driver's License
• Experience and competence in drug titration
• Neurology experience

Schedule and Work Expectations

• Weekend hours as required by the facility
• Will float on a rotational basis
• Night shift orients on day shift and must be available the entire week
• RTO must be made up on the back end
• RTO is not approved in the first week of the assignment
• Holiday RTO: only 1 request per assignment
• Blocked scheduling may be approved based on facility requirements

Unit Details

• Neurology unit
• 32 beds
• Patient ratios vary; not guaranteed
• Patient population includes neuro, med, and med tele

Working Conditions

• High risk exposure to blood and body fluids
• Requires standing and walking most of the time
• May involve bending, stooping, lifting, turning patients with assistance, pushing, pulling, gripping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
• May require lifting and pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs and pinching up to 15 lbs

Dress Code

• Black scrubs only

• Flu vaccination or approved exemption is required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1
• EMR used: EPIC
