RN Telemetry Travel Assignment

Overview

• Travel RN position in Springfield, Missouri
• Auto-offer role
• 1 opening
• Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48
• Assignment length: 13 weeks
• Weekend coverage required as needed by the facility
• No call required
• Float assignment required on a rotational basis

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in a(n) Inpatient setting
• Driver's License
• Experience and competence in drug titration

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification from AHA
• Trauma experience

Unit and Patient Care

• Surgical telemetry unit
• 32 beds
• Patient population includes specialty surgery and post-trauma, surgical, and medical comorbidities
• Patient ratios vary by shift

Work Expectations

• Uses the nursing process to provide direct patient care
• Coordinates care with other departments
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality
• Must be able to stand and walk most of the shift
• Requires bending, stooping, lifting, turning patients with assistance, and exposure to blood and body fluids
• May require pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs, and pinching up to 15 lbs

Schedule and Assignment Notes

• RTO must be made up on the back end
• RTO is not approved during the first week
• Only 1 holiday RTO request per assignment
• Night shift orientation occurs on day shift and requires availability for the entire week

Dress Code

• Black scrubs
• No torn clothes, open-toed shoes, or non-scrub attire

Compliance

• Flu vaccination or approved exemption is required from November 1 through April 1
• Declinations are not accepted
