Facility & Unit Overview

• 49-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital
• Patient population: Adults requiring inpatient rehabilitation with high acuity needs, including stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries
• Unit functions similarly to a medical-surgical unit with high acuity patients
• Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 7 patients
• Equipment includes mobility aids (ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, slide boards), vital sign machines, EKG, blood glucose monitors, and EPIC electronic health record system

Work Schedule

• 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday rotations
• Call requirements apply
• Mandatory 30-minute unpaid break plus two paid 15-minute breaks per 12-hour shift
• Staff must adhere to attendance and tardy policies
• No overtime without supervisor approval

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a rehabilitation setting, with rehabilitation experience within the last year
• Experience in medical-surgical nursing
• Experience in a 24/7 skilled care environment preferred

Job Responsibilities & Notes

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in an inpatient rehab setting
• Assist with patient safety by supporting CNAs and responding to call lights
• May be required to float to a nearby satellite inpatient rehab facility within 20 minutes in the future
• Must complete the full 13-week contract with satisfactory attendance to qualify for completion bonuses
