Registered Nurse – Med Surg

Location: Versailles, Kentucky
Employment Type: Per Diem
Contract Length: 24 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Medical/Surgical with Swing Beds
• Unit: 16 Medical/Surgical beds, 2 Acute Care Unit (ACU) beds (light ICU, no ventilators)
• Patient Population: Adult with geriatric mix (no pediatrics)
• Patient Ratio: 6:1
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Medhost
• Float Requirement: May float 1 shift to ACU as needed
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend as needed
• Call Requirements: None

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Experience

• Acute care experience
• Some rehabilitation experience

Work Environment & Dress Code

• Physical work level: standard
• Scrub color: solids, no specific color requirements
• Unacceptable attire: fleece, hoodies, or non-scrub clothing
