Special Procedures Tech - Radiology (Travel)
Location: Denver, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift with alternating hours (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM and 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Unit Information
- Interventional Radiology with 5 IR suites
- Day shift hours: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM
- On-call required: 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month (possible holiday coverage)
- Patient ratio: 2 IR Techs and 1 IR RN per shift
- Equipment includes Siemens Bi-plane and Single plane imaging systems
- EMR systems used: Meditech, GE Centricity PACS
Typical Procedures
- Neuro interventional procedures including stroke care, aneurysms, subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), and dural venous sinus thrombosis (DVST)
- Level 1 Trauma Center procedures such as gastrointestinal bleeding (GIB), embolizations (EMBOs), gastrostomy tubes, nephrostomy, and others
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year
- Experience in an acute care setting
- ARRT Radiologic Technologist (R) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
- On-call availability as specified
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in neuro interventional radiology (strokes, aneurysms, SAH)
- Expert knowledge of vascular interventional radiology procedures with minimal guidance
Personality Fit
- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced interventional lab environment
- Strong teamwork skills
