Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Travel Position

Location: Festus, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 5x8 (36 hours per week)

Job Description

• Work in a multidisciplinary outpatient therapy department primarily serving adult patients.
• Patient diagnoses include orthopedics, orthopedic surgery, pain management, neurological conditions, and sports medicine.
• Treatments are typically 30-minute one-on-one sessions with patients; flexibility based on patient needs is expected.
• No double booking of patients or use of techs for treatment.
• Productivity expectation: 80% patient care time per shift.
• Supportive and welcoming team environment with a range of experience levels among therapists.
• Department also includes occupational and speech therapy services.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Missouri
• Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience within the last year

Work Environment & Culture

• Outpatient setting.
• Team player with versatility, flexibility, excellent communication skills, and ability to get along well with others is preferred.
• Dress code: Black scrubs only; no other attire permitted.

Additional Information

• Facility uses EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Weekend hours as needed; float requirements as needed.
• No call requirements.
