ICU RN Travel Opportunity - Pennsylvania (Meadville)

Job Details

• Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM (Night Shift)
• Schedule: Every other weekend includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Experience Requirements

• Specialty Experience: ICU RN (6+ years of experience recommended based on typical ICU requirements and complexity of care)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Patient Population / Common Diagnoses

• Respiratory failure
• Sepsis
• STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction)
• Post-TPA stroke
• Overdose
• Suicide attempts
• Shocks
• Heart blocks
• COVID-19

Unit Details

• 14-bed ICU unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2 in ICU, 1:3 in step-down unit
• Intensivist available remotely via telemedicine; ED physician and hospitalist on-site 24/7
• Float assignments may include Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units (must be willing to float)

Additional Information

• Clinicians must complete documentation and health requirements within 3 days of offer acceptance
• IV and medication competency test on first day
• Additional physical and drug screening required the week before starting (unpaid)
• Weekend shifts are every other weekend (Friday through Sunday)

This position is ideal for experienced ICU nurses comfortable with night shifts, critical care telemedicine support, and flexible floating assignments.
