Department Details

• Cath Lab with 2 suites/labs
• Average 6 cases per day
• Common procedures: Coronary, Interventional Radiology (IR), Vascular procedures
• No Electrophysiology (EP) procedures performed

Job Duties

• Sedate, monitor, and circulate cases
• No scrubbing required for RNs
• Experience needed in sedation and reversal, cardiac drips, and medications

Scheduling & Shifts

• Work hours: Monday-Thursday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• On-call:

  • Weeknights (Mon-Thurs) 5:00 PM – 6:30 AM
  • Weekends (Fri-Sun) 6:30 AM – 6:30 AM (24-hour shifts each day)
  • Holidays as needed
• Call response time: 30 minutes
• On-call frequency: Every 3-4th weekend and 6-7 weeknight shifts in a 6-week period

Call Coverage

• Cardiologist on-call evenings and weekends
• 10 days per month on STEMI divert due to cardiology coverage
• IR call coverage 10 days per month with one IR provider

Additional Information

• Cath Lab Techs scrub, monitor, and circulate
• Occasional floating to provide 1:1 sitter help
• Scrubs provided by hospital (light blue)
• Orientation includes computer-based training (CBTs) assigned on day 1, to be completed within the first week, plus orientation binder checklist
• Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
• Previous employment with the facility requires a minimum 6-month gap before reapplying

This position is ideal for RNs with cath lab experience, sedation skills, and familiarity with cardiac medications looking for a structured weekday schedule with on-call responsibilities.
