Job Overview
- Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Days
- Schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts per week
- Call: No call requirement
- Floating: May float to other intradepartmental teams such as Ortho or Neuro
- Unit size: 13 ORs
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CSFA surg tech
- Active BLS through AHA
- Active CST certification through NBSTSA only
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the surgeon during operations by helping provide exposure, maintain hemostasis, and perform other technical functions
- Set up, pass, and assist on a variety of cases
- Perform duties of a first assistant in robotic cases
Orientation and Work Environment
- Orientation is abbreviated, with expectation that an experienced first assist can adapt quickly
- Hospital-owned and provider-supplied sterile instrumentation is used
- Hospital-laundered scrubs are provided
