Physical Therapist (PT) - California, Monterey

Job Overview

• Provide physical therapy services split between an Acute Inpatient Unit and a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).
• Work with diverse patient populations including neurological injury recovery and elderly rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient functional outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Current California Physical Therapist license (or eligibility for licensure).
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience preferred in neurological rehabilitation or acute inpatient care.
• Experience preferred in geriatric rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Facility care.
• Strong knowledge of neurological disorders and evidence-based rehabilitation techniques.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Work Schedule

• 10-hour day shifts, 4 days per week.
• Required to work 2 weekends per month.
• Floating between Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit and Skilled Nursing Facility based on unit needs.

Additional Information

• Facility is nicotine-free; all drug tests must be negative for nicotine/cotinine unless a legitimate medical reason (e.g., prescribed nicotine patch) is provided.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: Epic.
• Dress code: Hospital-provided scrubs.
