Cath Lab/Angio Registered Nurse (RN) - Contract

Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Unit: Interventional/Cardiac/Vascular
Shifts: Days with varied times; either 8 or 10-hour shifts, 40 hours weekly
Call: Required to take call 1-2 days per week and about every 2-3 weekends, including holidays
Documentation EMR: Meditech
Monitoring Equipment: Sensis, Siemens
Labs: 2 labs involved
Call Team: 4-person call team
Procedures: Interventional Radiology (IR), Vascular, and Cardiac procedures
Skills Required:
- Basic knowledge of diagnostic and interventional cardiology, cardiovascular, and interventional radiology procedures
- Basic understanding of Computerized Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine procedures
- Application of specialized skills for patients undergoing angiography, cardiac catheterization, pacemaker and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) insertion
- Hemodynamic monitoring
- Understanding of radiology equipment and image processing

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in an interventional cath lab
Current BLS certification

Additional Information

Must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend an employee health appointment on Friday
Do not accept the start date if unable to arrive on time for this appointment

No prior travel experience requirement specified.
