Job Opportunity: RN Flex Pool - Days

Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Float between various medical and surgical units including Medical Unit, Laulima Unit (Surgical Acute), and Cardiovascular Unit (rarely)
12-hour day shifts (06:45 AM to 07:15 PM)
Scheduled 36 hours per week after orientation (no guaranteed hours)
Use of Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, chest tubes
Nurse-to-patient ratios:
- Medical Unit: 1:6 (days/evenings), 1:8 (nights)
- Laulima Unit: 1:6
- Cardiovascular Unit: 1:4
Professional nursing attire (clean scrubs) required
Orientation provided for each unit
Must arrive the Thursday before start date for employee health appointment

Required Qualifications

Specialty: Nursing (RN)
Minimum Years of Experience: 10 years (higher end of 2-10 years range)
Active Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment (must apply if not currently licensed)
BLS and ACLS required
Preferred Certifications: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC
Medical and religious exemption requests for immunity will not be accepted

Additional Notes

Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
Floating to multiple units is expected
Orientation time provided for each unit to ensure competency
