Overview

• Contract RN role in Hot Springs, South Dakota.
• Long Term Care experience is preferred.
• 8 hour varied shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Dakota.
• Long Term Care (1 year of experience).
• Long Term Care experience within the last year.
• BLS.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provides general nursing care to residents and directly supervises Nursing Assistants.
• Performs nursing assessments, develops and implements care plans, evaluates responses to nursing interventions, and coordinates resident care.
• Communicates with physicians and family members, provides teaching to residents, families, and staff, and supports resident rights and the choices philosophy.
• Administers and charts routine and emergency medications and treatments.
• Maintains accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Performs safety and infection control procedures.
• Participates in Quality Assurance activities.
• Serves as the primary contact person on assigned shift.
• Supports IV therapy, including initiating IVs, administering initial medication, and managing central lines and catheters.
• Assists with lifting and transferring residents as needed.
