Role Overview

Temp RN position in Virginia
12-week contract
12-hour night shifts
36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
Experience in an Acute Care setting
BLS
ACLS
Experience with Epic

Preferred / Additional Experience

NIHSS preferred and required upon hire during orientation
Experience caring for diverse patient populations and adapting to multiple clinical environments is strongly preferred

Schedule

Every other weekend
Rotating holidays
1 major and 1 minor holiday

Floating / Assignment Details

Float team role
Assignments may include adult Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units, ED Holding, or IMC caring for Med/Surg-Tele level patients
Occasional mid-shift reassignments may occur based on operational needs

Patient Care Setting

Adult patients with a broad range of diagnoses, including medical-surgical, telemetry, neurology, stroke, orthopedics/trauma, elective joint and spine procedures, skeletal traction, and external fixation

Workload

Typical patient ratio: 1:4–6, based on unit acuity
