Job Opportunity: Technologist

Location

  • Contract Length: 8 weeks

Work Schedule

  • 10-hour day shifts
  • 40 hours per week

Job Summary

  • Perform PET/CT imaging with a focus on patient safety, comfort, and high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists.
  • Train new technologists and troubleshoot imaging equipment.
  • Work environments may include outpatient centers, mobile units, or hospital-based facilities.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (required); Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
  • NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification.
  • CNMT California License for Nuclear Medicine (required to perform PET/CT imaging in California).
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • 1-2 years of PET/PETCT imaging experience with adequate training in Nuclear Medicine procedures.
  • Valid state driver’s license (as applicable).
  • Local travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications and aseptic injection technique.
  • Adhere to radiation safety regulations and proper documentation when handling radioactive materials.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic PET/CT images.
  • Train new staff and troubleshoot imaging equipment and peripherals.

Note: A CT license is not required as CT is used only for attenuation correction in this role.
