Job Summary

• Perform CT scanning procedures with professionalism and service excellence.
• Prepare and maintain medical, surgical, and radiological supplies according to protocols.
• Maintain sterility of field and instruments.
• Prepare requisitions accurately.
• Communicate with patients and families to alleviate anxiety while maintaining privacy and dignity.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and patient privacy.
• Verify patient identification according to policy.
• Monitor patient condition before and after contrast injections; report changes to nursing staff and radiologist.
• Ensure availability of medical records, previous reports, labs, and patient history.
• Initiate emergency response if complications arise.
• Maintain linen, contrast media, and biopsy/drainage supplies in scanning rooms.
• Assist with inventory management and routine cleaning of CT equipment and rooms.
• Coordinate emergency and unscheduled procedure requests.
• Assign staff to maintain efficient workflow and patient safety.
• Communicate patient status with departments and floors.
• Assist in routine procedures and assess patient ability to tolerate contrast.
• Screen for allergies and medication incompatibilities.
• Maintain QA/QC requirements per daily, monthly, and ACR specifications.
• Recognize and report equipment malfunctions.
• Follow venipuncture and power injector protocols.
• For urgent cases (e.g., Code Grey, Trauma), acquire, process, and send images immediately per protocol and notify radiologist of any unusual findings.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Education

• High School diploma or GED
• Completion of a Radiographer Technical training program from a School of Radiography or College-based Radiography program

Certifications & Licensure

• ARRT RT (R)
• ARRT RT (CT)
• New Jersey State X-Ray License (NJDEP)
• BLS Certification
