Location: Louisville, Kentucky
Employment Type: Clinical-Allied
Shift: Night (Friday to Sunday, 9:00 PM – 9:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours (12-hour shifts)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Perform and interpret clinical laboratory tests independently to assist physician diagnosis and treatment. Testing includes both high and moderate complexity. Ensure quality management and communication of critical test results.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform clinical laboratory testing, including specimen evaluation to meet pre-analytical requirements.
- Communicate critical test results, testing interpretations, and workflow status.
- Conduct quality control, instrument maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Manage reagent and supply inventory levels.
- Document work performed and corrective actions taken.
- Train new employees and students.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification required.
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Lab Technician experience, including experience within the last year.
- Bachelor's degree in biology or other laboratory science.
- Experience in an inpatient healthcare setting.
