Echocardiographer Position - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Job Summary

• Perform Transthoracic echocardiograms.
• Set up and assist with Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE).
• Under supervision, set up and perform exercise and Dobutamine Stress Echocardiograms.
• Deliver care primarily to an adult patient population.
• Maintain clean and orderly patient care environment.
• Participate in quality improvement activities, including evaluating procedure results and maintaining logs and records.
• Prepare and instruct patients before and after procedures.
• Utilize ultrasound contrast according to American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) guidelines and department policy.

Contract Length

• 12 weeks

Work Schedule

• 1st shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Variable shifts including weekends and emergent call coverage as scheduled
• No night shifts or call required

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Echo Technologist, with experience within the last year.

Education

• Completion of a two-year degree in an Allied Health field.

Certifications & Licensure

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).

Additional Qualifications

• Participation in quality improvement activities.
