Job Summary

• Perform sonographic examinations across all ultrasound areas including OB/GYN, Abdominal, Small Parts, Breast, Vascular, OR, and Procedure following ACR guidelines and department policies.
• Provide 24/7 ultrasound service coverage including rotating Saturdays, holidays, and call coverage.
• Produce high-quality images, properly labeled and identified.
• Recognize normal anatomy, physiology, variations, and pathology; adjust imaging accordingly.
• Analyze physician orders and patient history to ensure exam correlation.
• Collaborate with other departments (floor nurses, radiology, scheduling) for exam coordination.
• Work variable shifts, weekends, and emergent call coverage as scheduled.
• Use EPIC/Radiant and PACS information systems proficiently.
• Maintain and perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance on ultrasound equipment.
• Prepare patients by explaining procedures clearly and answering questions.
• Assist in patient transfer and positioning before and after imaging.
• Support radiologists and medical staff during interventional, diagnostic, and therapeutic ultrasound-guided procedures.
• Practice infection control and sterile techniques, staying current with updates.
• Verify, collect, document, and hand off lab specimens accurately.
• Communicate effectively to ensure seamless patient care.
• Assist with phone answering, patient scheduling, inpatient coordination, and instructing medical staff and patients as needed.

Contract Length

• Approximately 13 weeks (94 days ≈ 13 weeks)

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency with ultrasound equipment and basic knowledge of patient care equipment.
• Minimum 1 year of current clinical experience or substantial training with ARDMS registry accepted.
• Familiarity with McKesson PACS and Epic EMR preferred.

• Must be able to meet all job requirements within specified time frames to avoid dismissal.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
