Respiratory Therapist
Job Overview
- Travel assignment in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
- 13-week contract
- Start date: ASAP
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- 12-hour night shift: 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend rotation, occasionally every third
- May be scheduled for holidays if needed
- Primarily assigned to PICU and NICU, with possible float to general med/surg acute care units and EDTC
- On-call and call-back not required
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or Certificate
- Valid Pediatric Respiratory Therapist license in Wisconsin
- Pediatric Respiratory Therapist (3 years of experience)
- Pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- Registered Respiratory Therapist experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- NRP
Clinical Skills
- Ventilator management including Servo I, Servo U, LTV, Astral, Trilogy, and Oscillator equipment
- Invasive and non-invasive ventilation management
- CPAP and BiPAP administration
- RAM cannula application
- NAVA ventilation
- Positive end-expiratory pressure (PEP) management
- Inhaled nitric oxide (INO) management
- Tracheostomy patient care
- Intubation and extubation procedures
Additional Requirements
- Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
Notes
- If the Wisconsin license is not already in hand, the facility encourages applying for the Act 10 temporary license
- Any professional scrubs are allowed
- A single small nose stud is permitted; other visible body piercings are not allowed except ear piercings; clear or flesh-colored piercing plugs are permitted
