Overview

Shift Details

• Shift Requirements: 12-hour night shifts (1830-0700)
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend, occasionally every 3rd
• Holiday Rotation: N/A

Responsibilities

• Primarily work in PICU and NICU, with potential to float to general med/surg acute care units and EDTC.
• Manage respiratory care patients, including:

  • Vent management
  • Intubations and extubations
  • Suctioning and treatments

Required Qualifications

• Certifications:

  • AHA BLS
  • AHA PALS
  • NRP
  • Wisconsin License
  • NBRC RRT (must be RRT)
• Education: Associate Degree (AD)
• Experience: 3-5 years in pediatric critical care or NICU, with the ability to function in PICU and Level IV NICU.

Required Skillset

• Experience with:

  • Vents (Servo I and Servo U, LTV's, Astral, Trilogy, Oscillators)
  • Trach patients
  • Invasive and non-invasive ventilation (CPAP, BiPaP, RAM cannula, NAVA ventilation, PEP, INO)
• Familiarity with Epic Clin Doc (preferred)

Additional Information

• Scrub Colors: Any professional scrubs
• Jewelry Policy: A single small stud is permitted in the nose; no other visible body piercings allowed (except ear piercings).
• Flu Vaccine: Required with no exemptions.

Notes

• Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays when the unit is closed and during orientation week.
• The client can terminate the contract with 2 weeks’ notice if census dictates.
