Registered Nurse - Neurology (Travel)

Location: Neenah, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour day/night variable shifts (primary days)

  • Day Shift: 05:30 - 18:00
  • Night Shift: 17:30 - 06:00
• Weekend: Every other weekend
• Holidays: Holiday rotation as needed
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (except during holidays and orientation week)
• Orientation: 8-hour non-billable orientation
• Float Requirements: Float within facility and to other facilities within a 60-mile radius, within skillset
• On Call/Call Back: None

Unit Overview

• 16-bed Neurology unit
• Patient population includes mostly post-stroke patients, post-op brain/neck/spine surgeries, trauma patients, and TBI
• Occasional medical patients
• Patient ratio: 1 RN to 4 patients
• Typically 4-5 RNs and 2 patient care technicians per shift

Requirements

• Licenses/Certifications:

  • Wisconsin RN license (or compact license)
  • AHA BLS
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years as an RN
  • At least 1 prior travel contract required
  • ICU/IMC experience strongly preferred
• Skills:

  • Experience with stroke and post-op back/spine/cervical cases preferred
  • EPIC charting experience within the last year strongly preferred
• Personal Attributes:

  • Hard worker, resilient, manages change well
  • Social and team-oriented

Additional Notes

• No travelers accepted if their home or current facility is within 50 miles of the corporate center
• Any missed shifts must be made up within 2 weeks
