• Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 4x12 Days (0645-1915) - 3x12s can be accommodated
• Average Daily Census: 38
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-call Requirement: No
• Floating Requirement: Yes, will float to like units as needed
• Local Candidates Accepted: Yes, no radius restrictions
• Pending License Accepted: No, must have active Illinois license to apply
• RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days

Experience and Skills Required

• Minimum Experience: 2 years
• Certifications Required:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Required Work Setting Experience:

  • MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Tele, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown
• Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response Skills:

  • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  • Telemetry monitoring (unit and remote)
• Cardiovascular Case Skills:

  • Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, Sheath Removal, TR band
• Gastrointestinal Case Skills:

  • Feeding tube care and management
• Genitourinary/Renal Case Skills:

  • Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure
• IV Therapy/Phlebotomy Skills:

  • Accessing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs
• Medication Management Skills:

  • Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac and Vasoactive drips (no titration), PCA
• Neurological/Psychiatric Case Skills:

  • CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident)
• Respiratory Case Skills:

  • Chest tubes, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Oxygen management
• Professional Skills:

  • Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac
• Preferred Experience:

  • Previous charge experience
  • Cerner experience
  • Teaching hospital experience
  • Level I Trauma experience
