Employment Details
- Type: Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 4x12 Days (0645-1915) - 3x12s can be accommodated
- Average Daily Census: 38
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-call Requirement: No
- Floating Requirement: Yes, will float to like units as needed
- Local Candidates Accepted: Yes, no radius restrictions
- Pending License Accepted: No, must have active Illinois license to apply
- RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days
Experience and Skills Required
- Minimum Experience: 2 years
- Certifications Required:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Required Work Setting Experience:
- MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Tele, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown
- Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response Skills:
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Telemetry monitoring (unit and remote)
- Cardiovascular Case Skills:
- Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, Sheath Removal, TR band
- Gastrointestinal Case Skills:
- Feeding tube care and management
- Genitourinary/Renal Case Skills:
- Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure
- IV Therapy/Phlebotomy Skills:
- Accessing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs
- Medication Management Skills:
- Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac and Vasoactive drips (no titration), PCA
- Neurological/Psychiatric Case Skills:
- CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident)
- Respiratory Case Skills:
- Chest tubes, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Oxygen management
- Professional Skills:
- Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac
- Preferred Experience:
- Previous charge experience
- Cerner experience
- Teaching hospital experience
- Level I Trauma experience
