Required Qualifications

• Valid California LVN License
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC only)
• Flu vaccination (no exemptions or declinations accepted)
• Phlebotomy and IV certification with experience handling difficult sticks
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system (CS Link/Epic)

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in outpatient or geriatrics settings

Job Duties

• Perform and record quality control testing on designated equipment
• Schedule nurse visits for phlebotomy, testing, or other procedures
• Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications
• Draw and prepare lab work or specimens for pickup
• Handle clinic care telephone interactions with provider input
• Cover Medical Assistant duties during absences, illnesses, and breaks
• Float within scope to meet facility needs

• Locals accepted within a 50-minute commute
• No pending license accepted
• No return-to-office (RTO) requests allowed in the first 2 weeks of assignment

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required
• Background check including 7-year county residence, nationwide search, sex offender search, federal district court search, and international criminal searches if applicable
• Education verification of highest level of education (high school verification required if applicable)
• Drug screening panel required within 1 year of start (excluding Marijuana/THC)
• Fit mask test within 12 months (N95 or approved respirators)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• Annual TB questionnaire if history of positive TB
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (vaccine series, titer, or declination)
  • Varicella (chickenpox)
• Flu vaccine mandatory during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30), no declinations accepted
• Two professional references required, including one supervisory reference
• Various facility-specific documents and attestations required (e.g., code of conduct, job hazard analysis, social media policy)

Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, CPI certifications may be applicable depending on assignment and qualifications
• Medication and competency exams required per facility standards
