Job Details

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, including:

  • Pennsylvania statewide Child Abuse (Childline) search within 1 year of start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Education verification required (transcripts, diplomas, or 3rd party verification)

Certifications & Training

• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification required for Emergency Department, Behavioral Health, and Acute Care units (annual renewal required)
• NIH Stroke Certification required for all RNs (annual renewal required)
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Comprehensive Crisis Management certification required for certain units (ED, Behavioral Health, Acute Care)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, Q Gold, or T-Spot) within 6 months of start or chest x-ray within 5 years
• Immunizations or documented immunity/declinations required for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within past 10 years)
  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (series, titer, or declination)
  • Varicella (chickenpox)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination required during flu season (Nov-April)
• COVID-19 vaccination or facility-specific declination required
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Alcohol breathalyzer test within 30 days of start (not required at this location)

Additional Requirements

• Passport-style photo for badge
• Completion of facility-specific orientation packet and acknowledgements prior to start
• Completion of facility-specific bloodborne pathogen quiz prior to start
• Two professional references within 3 years required
• Annual skills checklist required
