Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Los Angeles, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: 3x12 hour days
• On-call requirement: One weeknight and one weekend day (Fri/Sat/Sun) per month with a 30-minute response time
• Scrubs: Green OR scrubs

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience (highest required specialty experience)
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Required Certifications

• CRT-fluoro license
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Current and valid Driver’s License or government-issued photo ID
• Background checks including:

  • Social Security Trace
  • 7-year National Criminal History Search (County searches)
  • National Sex Offender Search
  • FACIS level 3 search (includes OFAC)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM search (within 30 days of start, annual renewal required)
  • HHS/OIG search (within 30 days of start, annual renewal required)
• Education Verification (Diploma or Official Transcripts)
• State License verification (within 30 days of start)
• NURSYS Verification (for RN, LPN/LVN, AP) within 30 days of start

Competency Exams

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required for all RNs & LVNs)
• Competency Exam (required for all units; LVN/LPNs & CNAs must have an 80% pass rate)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for RNs in relevant units)

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Multiple facility-specific documents and trainings must be completed prior to start, including but not limited to:

  • HIPAA training and acknowledgment
  • Annual OSHA education module
  • Confidentiality Agreement
  • Access Request Form (for Allied techs, LVNs, CNAs, Non-Clinical, Interim Leadership)
  • Pyxis Form (for RNs and RRT specialties)
  • Abuse Reporting Acknowledgments (Elder, Child, Domestic)
  • COVID declination or vaccination documentation
  • Employee Health Latex Questionnaire (if applicable)
  • Various UCLA-specific training modules and policy acknowledgments

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical Exam (within 1 year, updated annually)
• Fit Mask testing (specific mask models required, within 1 year)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (declination accepted, vaccine proof within 10 years)
• Negative TB test (QGold required within 1 year; chest X-ray if positive history)
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
  • Varicella
• Drug Testing: 9 Panel Drug Screen within last 12 months (Aya requirement)
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or signed declination (required annually during flu season)
• COVID vaccine or declination (vaccine must be after 9/12/2023; initial series not required)

Employment History and References

• Employment application covering last 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Work history verification for last 5 years
• Two references required, supervisor level or above, one within the last year
