Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology (Travel/Contract)

Location: Metairie, Louisiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Radiology / Cardiology)
• Epic Experience: Required
• Call Requirement: 1 day per week
• Weekend Requirement: 4-6 weekend shifts
• Float Requirement: May float to Cath Lab
• Case Load: 16-20 cases per day
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Certifications Required

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Louisiana State License (Temporary LSRT accepted; takes 3-5 days to issue with proof of ARRT)

Additional Recommended Certifications (may be required depending on unit)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
• CHEMO (Chemotherapy)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) - Blue Card accepted, may be completed onsite

Competencies

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required annually)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required annually)
• Core Competency Exams (Parts I, II, III) - required annually

Health & Background Requirements

• Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• Drug screening within 30 days of start (includes comprehensive panel)
• Physical exam within 12 months (not required by facility but recommended)
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Tdap (within 10 years)
  • MMR (2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (Qgold/Tspot or 2-step skin test within 3 months)
  • Flu vaccination or declination (required seasonally)
• TB Questionnaire (updated annually)

Notes

• Facility requires coverage through Mardi Gras (Feb 13 - Feb 22); minimize time-off requests during this period
• Employment application must include 7 years of work history with no gaps over 30 days
