Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Job Details

• Work schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, night shifts
• Start dates available: February 16 and February 23
• Work settings include ER, floors, and ICU
• Pulmonary Rehab and Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) skills are a bonus
• Must have a wide variety of skill sets due to diverse patient population

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an RRT required
• Prior travel experience is required (will not accept first-time travelers)
• Traveler’s primary residence must be more than 25 miles from the facility

Certifications / Licenses Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• CRTT (Certified Respiratory Therapist)

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Criminal background check required within 1 year of start, including:

  • 7-year search
  • Social Security trace
  • County and sex offender checks
  • Nationwide and international searches if applicable
• GSA/SAM and OIG excluded provider checks required
• Education verification required (diploma acceptable in lieu of third-party verification)
• Minnesota DHS NetStudy Fingerprint clearance required prior to start (no pending fingerprints allowed)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask test (N95) required
• Tdap vaccination required (no religious declinations accepted)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray per Minnesota state guidelines
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer required
• Hepatitis B vaccination, positive titer, or declination accepted
• Varicella vaccination or positive titer required
• Flu vaccination or declination required annually (mask required if declined)
• Drug testing within 1 year of start (9 panel acceptable)

Additional Requirements

• Two professional references from recent employers within 2 years
• Skills checklist required for all clinical candidates
• Competency exams required as applicable, must be updated annually
• Candidate must complete facility-specific education modules during orientation (approx. 16 hours)
• Dress code: RRTs wear dove gray (light gray) scrubs
• Candidate must sign confidentiality agreement prior to start
• Photo for badge required (grey background, no selfies or professional photos unless headshot)
• Candidates must return badges on last day of assignment

Notes

• Candidates must complete Minnesota DHS NetStudy Fingerprint Questionnaire immediately after signing contract
• Fingerprint clearance or approved exemption letter required before starting
• Candidates unable to complete fingerprinting within driving distance must travel to a location for livescan
• Background checks and health documents have specific expiration and upload requirements

This position is ideal for experienced RRTs with prior travel assignments who are flexible and able to work night shifts in a variety of clinical settings.
