Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology - Special Procedures Tech

Location: Providence, Rhode Island

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift Details

• 8-hour day shift: 08:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Call required
• Unit accepts first-time travelers

Required Certifications

• ARRT (Radiologic Technologist)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• CCI RCIS (Cardiovascular Credentialing International - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
• State License (Rhode Island)

• Scrub Procedures and maintaining sterile field
• Adrenal Angiography
• Angiography of Genitourinary System
• Cholecystostomy
• Cystoscopy
• Embolization
• Gastrostomy
• Nephrostomy
• Renal Angiography
• Renal Artery Stent Placement
• Ureteral Stent Placement
• Uterine Arterial Embolization
• Endovascular Interventions
• Equipment Set Up
• Room Circulator
• Vascular Closure System (Perclose, StarClose)

Preferred Experience:

• Previous charge experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Community hospital experience

Required Qualifications

• Valid Rhode Island State License for Radiologic Technologist
• ARRT certification in Radiology or Cardiology specialty accepted
• BLS certification
• CCI RCIS certification
• Ability to pass required background checks and fingerprinting (including NCIC/BCI for Rhode Island)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination/titer or declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or approved declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• Drug screening (9 panel) after position acceptance
• Respiratory safety clearance required annually

Additional Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific onboarding documents and confidentiality agreements prior to start
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
• Medication system experience with Omnicell preferred

Prior Travel Experience

• No prior travel experience required; first-time travelers accepted
