This is a travel/contract position for a Registered Nurse specializing in Utilization Review. Weekend work requirements may vary.
Required Qualifications
- License: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for California.
- Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated; default to standard RN experience expectations.

- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification.

- NURSYS Verification required for all RNs.
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years. Must be updated annually.
- Education Verification: Nursing degree verification required. International education requires diploma/transcript or CES report.
- Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests).
- Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
- Immunizations and Health Documents:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination accepted).
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer with acceptable documentation.
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination.
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer with acceptable documentation.
- Seasonal Flu Vaccine during flu season or declination.
- COVID vaccine or declination.
- Respiratory Safety Clearance: Required annually for travel candidates.
Facility and System Specific Requirements
- Completion of required WorkRamp modules (annual regulatory, specialty-specific, regional core, and specialty modules) prior to start and annually thereafter.
- Photo for badge with neutral background may be required.
- Epic Access training modules completion required for SoCal and other specified regions.
- Compliance with float policy: May be required to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance.
References and Employment History
- Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting. Must be from supervisors.
- Employment application covering at least the last 5 years of employment with month/year format for dates.
