Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (2 weekends per month)
- Call Requirements: None
- Time Off (RTO): Up to 5 days max; no more than 2 consecutive days; no RTO on holidays, weekends, or the day before/after a holiday
- Floating: Mandatory floating within scope as needed, including mid-shift float

- Electronic charting system: Cerner
- Scrub color: Any color allowed
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Required Documents & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or state ID)
- Background check within 12 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years; updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- Physical exam within 12 months, signed by PA, NP, DO, or MD; updated annually
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSPOT) within 12 months; updated annually (PPD not accepted after 12/15/2025)
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years or signed declination within 12 months
- Immunizations or titers for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Hepatitis B (or signed declination)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (Oct 1 – May 4); declinations not accepted
- Negative 9-panel drug screen within 90 days of start; testing initiated within 48 hours of signed contract
- Fit mask test (N95 or equivalent) within 1 year; annual requirement; onsite PAPR use allowed with approved exemption
- Completion of PromisePoint EMR training modules prior to start (approx. 2 hours)
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam and general competency exam within 12 months of start
- Color blindness testing within 12 months of start (required for starts on/after 1/16/24)
Additional Notes
- Locals within 75 miles are accepted and preferred
- This is a mandatory float facility; nurses must be flexible to float to different units as needed
- No block scheduling available
- References and employment application required per state and agency standards
