Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Registered Nurse

Location: Fredericksburg, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts (8:00 AM – 6:30 PM), Monday through Friday
Rotating on-call requirements including weekends, holidays, and after-hours when the department is closed
Patient ratio: 1:6
High-volume, high-acuity Cardiac Cath Lab with 3 newly renovated labs performing 12-18 cases daily
Procedures include STEMI call, TAVRS, Watchman, Cardiomems, carotids, Impella, CTO, peripherals, TEVARS/EVARS
Use of Philips rooms, Medrad and manifold injection systems, XPER and EPIC documentation
Team-oriented environment with opportunities to float within scope to medical assignments and Emergency Department (for medical holds)
Scrubs provided
First-time travel nurses accepted
Weekend requirement: every other weekend

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Cardiac Cath Lab experience of at least 1 year, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications:
- ACLS (American Heart Association provider card required)
- BLS (American Heart Association provider card required)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (AHA, APEX, or Blue Cloud only)
