Registered Nurse – PCU

Location: Richmond, Virginia Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Unit: Blended PCU and MS unit

Schedule

Night: 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:00
Day: 3x12 hours, 07:00–19:00
Hours: 12 per day, 36 per week

Staffing Ratios

PCU: 1:4 maximum
MS: 1:6 maximum
Local candidates are allowed.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
One year of PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience, completed within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience with Epic

Orientation

Exams (not pass/fail; retakes are supported): Pharmacology exam, point-of-care testing, and airborne precaution mask fitting for all RNs.
BKAT: Required for RNs in Telemetry/Step-Down, Progressive Care, and ICU. A study guide is provided.
Facility modules: About 6 hours, to be completed while working on the unit by the Friday of orientation week.
