Medical Surgical RN

Overview

• Travel/contract RN position in Seattle, Washington
• Start date: ASAP
• Contract length: 20 weeks
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:30
• 36 hours per week
• Unit ratios: 3–4:1 on days and 4–5:1 on nights
• Every other weekend required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Locals accepted
• Travelers will be first to float within scope
• Block scheduling is not available
• On-call is not required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Washington
• Med Surg (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS preferred
• Pediatric experience preferred

Unit Details

• Burn MedSurg unit
• Adult Burn, Plastic, and Pediatric Trauma/Burn patient population
• 15-room, 26-bed unit
• Average daily census: 22 patients
• Special procedures include anesthesia-assisted painful wound care, nitrous use, tank room wound care, bath room wound care, and EtCO2 monitoring for specific patients
• A wound care RN assists the primary RN in the tank rooms for 8-hour day shifts

• Blue scrubs provided by the facility
• Parking is available at additional cost
