Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse

Location

• Stockbridge, Georgia

Contract

• Travel/contract assignment
• 20 weeks
• Night shift, 3x12 hours
• 36 hours per week

Patient Population

• Adults to geriatrics

Unit Overview

• Overflow IMCU with cardiac telemetry focus
• Common care includes arrhythmia management, cardioversion, cardiac CHF, chest pain, renal and pulmonary conditions, PE/DVT, stable A-fib, SVT, bradycardia, post-cardiac cath, TR bands, DKA, and occasional vascular, ortho, or CVA overflow patients
• Must be comfortable managing continuous IV medications, including cardiac drips, diuretics, anticoagulants, and insulin drips

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Georgia
• Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 2 years of experience managing continuous IV medications including cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin), diuretics (Bumex, Lasix), anticoagulants (Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin), and insulin drips
• Telemetry experience

Schedule / Work Expectations

• Typically every other weekend
• Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Call is rare; 2-hour response time
• May be expected to work major holidays during the assignment period
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract

• Epic is preferred
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Full compliance is required to start on time
