PCU Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Columbus, Ohio
- 13-week assignment
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every other/third weekend required
- Floating within the health system is required
Unit Details
- 22 beds
- Average daily census: 20
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Common cases include burns, plastic/reconstructive surgery, urology, GYN, ENT, and oral/maxillofacial surgeries
- Special procedures include burn dressings, flap checks, and leech therapy
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- 1 year of experience in PCU - Progressive Care Unit
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with a similar patient population
- Previous charge RN experience
- Teaching hospital experience
Additional Notes
- Candidates with only 1 year of experience may be considered, but offers are not automatic and will require manager review
- EPIC documentation and Pyxis medication system are used on the unit
