Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 2 years of Med Surg experience
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification

Work Expectations

• Must be willing to float within scope of practice and at unit leader discretion
• Night shift ratio is 1:5 or 1:6

Location Restrictions

• Does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius
• Also excludes candidates whose primary residence is in the following counties: Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Albany, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, or Ulster

Compliance / Onboarding Requirements

• Flu vaccination is required unless an approved medical or religious exemption is submitted in advance
• Must complete facility onboarding documents and health screenings before start
• Must complete EKG/ECG testing within 72 hours of signing
• Must complete a physical exam before start
• Must complete a fit mask test before start
• Must provide negative TB screening or chest X-ray documentation
• Must provide immunization or immunity documentation for measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella
• Must complete a drug screen before start
• Must provide 2 professional references within 2 years of start
• Must complete color vision testing before start

Additional Notes

• EPIC familiarity is required
• NIH Stroke certification may be required depending on unit assignment
