MS/Tele

Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Omaha, Nebraska.
• 13-week contract.
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30.
• 36-hour weekly option; 48-hour option is also listed.
• The unit opens in early December, and travelers will float within the tower for orientation and unit-specific training until the floor opens.

Unit

• 45-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit caring for adult patients with acute and chronic conditions.
• The role may float within scope to meet facility needs, including potentially to Bellevue campus.
• Possible float units include 5 West, 6 Neuro, 4/5 Lied, 6/7 Lied, 7 HVU, 8 Werner, 9 Trauma, Bellevue MS, Observation, and SOTU.

Required Qualifications

• BLS.
• 2 years of prior Telemetry experience.
• 2 years of experience in a large, urban hospital.
• EPIC charting experience.
• First-time travelers are not accepted, unless the traveler has 2 years of experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center.
• Pending license is accepted, but the license must be in hand at the time of submission or the traveler will be booked six weeks out.
• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility.

Preferred

• ACLS.
• CPI.
• NIH.

Additional Details

• Drips are required on all floors.
• Travelers are first to float and must be prepared to float frequently.
• Scrubs are mandatory: Steele gray scrubs with the Nebraska Medicine logo on the back.
• Weekends: 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period.
• Travelers must work 2 of 3 major holidays.
• Up to two weeks of RTO is permitted and must be submitted with the application.
• Parking is available for a fee.
