Role Overview

This observation unit role supports chest pain rule-out patients and helps cover the ED when the hospital is full. The unit often cares for cardiac patients, so stronger cardiac and telemetry experience is preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Montana
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• 1 year of telemetry experience
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• More cardiac and telemetry experience
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam
• PALS certification
• TNCC certification

Compliance / Onboarding Requirements

• Current and valid government photo ID
• 7-year background check within 30 days of start, renewed annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM screening within 30 days of start
• HHS/OIG screening within 30 days of start
• Education verification
• 2 references, including a direct supervisor reference from within the last year
• Current employment application with 7 years of employment history and explanation for gaps over 30 days
• Skills checklist, if applicable
• Fit testing and OSHA form for onsite testing
• Negative TB testing
• Drug screening within 30 days of start
• COVID vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Tetanus/diphtheria/Tdap documentation preferred
