Job Opportunity: ICU Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Clinton, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• ICU RN position, day shift (07:00 - 19:30)
• 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts
• Float required to Intermediate Care (IMC), Medical/Surgical Telemetry (M/S Tele), Medical/Surgical (M/S), and Emergency Department (ED) as needed
• 6 weekend shifts required within a 6-week period
• No on-call required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Certifications:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Ability to float to IMC, M/S Tele, M/S, and ED units as needed
• 6 weekend shifts required within a 6-week period
• First-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience NOT required)

Additional Requirements

• Successful completion of background checks including criminal background, education verification, and drug screening
• Annual physical exam confirming ability to perform job duties without accommodations and free from communicable diseases
• Immunizations and health documentation required:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within last year or per policy)
  • Tdap vaccine within last 10 years preferred
  • Documentation of MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) and Varicella immunity or vaccination
  • Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
• Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology testing with minimum passing scores
• Valid driver's license if driving is an essential job function

Work History and References

• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience within the last 7 years
• Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience in the past 3 years

Schedule and Work Environment

• 12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:30)
• Floating to multiple units as needed (IMC, M/S Tele, M/S, ED)
• 6 weekend shifts required in a 6-week period
• No call required
