Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

• Shift: Evening, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (1:00 PM – 1:30 AM)
• Total Hours per Week: 36

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA traditional provider only; e-cards must be employer-verified from AHA website; instructor or RQI certifications not accepted except HeartCode AHA certifications as noted.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA traditional provider only; same restrictions as ACLS.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA traditional provider only; same restrictions as ACLS.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Oregon
• Minimum of 1 year of Respiratory Care Practitioner experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• NRP certification

Compliance and Background Checks

• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start; updated annually.
• Federal, state, county, national sex offender, and international background checks if applicable.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required 30 days prior to start and updated monthly.
• Education verification required for all clinical roles.
• Facility-specific documents including confidentiality agreements and vaccine declination forms must be completed prior to start.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year prior to start confirming good physical and mental health, free of infectious diseases, and ability to perform job duties.
• Fit mask testing done onsite on first day; must complete respiratory questionnaire prior to start; annual fit testing required.
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years or signed declination.
• Negative TB test (Qgold/TSPOT) within 1 year; PPD not accepted; annual TB questionnaire for past positives.
• Immunity or vaccination documentation required for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (immune titer and/or 3 vaccines or signed declination)
  • Varicella
• Drug testing: 10-panel including methamphetamines within 30 days prior to start; laboratory-based through SAMHSA certified lab.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination required during flu season; mask policy applies if declined.

Competency Requirements

• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam with passing grade of 85% or higher; must be updated annually.
• Skills checklist required.

• Facility requires full availability for compliance needs up until start date.
• References: At least 2 professional employment references required.
