Registered Nurse - ICU

Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 4x12 hour night shifts, every other weekend
• Must have strong CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) skills
• Will float to IMCU (stepdown unit) if needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Strong CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) skills

Additional Requirements

• 7-year background check required within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative QGold TB test within 1 year of start (Chest X-Ray acceptable if within 60 days)
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen with expanded opiates within 14 days before start (instant tests not accepted)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct-Mar)
• Photo for badge (passport style, shoulders up, no filters)
• Completion of facility-specific compliance and confidentiality documents prior to start

References and Competencies

• Two professional references verified within 2 years of start; one must be from the most recent acute care assignment with performance comments
• Annual skills checklist and medication/pharmacology competency exams as applicable

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
