Job Opportunity: Oncology Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Job Summary

Provide chemotherapy and immunotherapy services to outpatient oncology patients. Work a 5-day, 8-hour shift schedule from 07:30 to 16:30.

Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Chemotherapy certification (CHEMO)
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) or Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) certification
• Experience in an outpatient oncology setting

Work Environment & Additional Details

• No weekend shifts required.
• No on-call duties.
• Floating to other units is not expected unless business needs change.
• Scrub color provided: Navy Blue.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License or government-issued photo ID.
• Background checks including social security trace, criminal history, sex offender search, and federal exclusions.
• Education verification including diploma or official transcripts.
• Annual health and safety trainings including OSHA, HIPAA, harassment prevention, and facility-specific modules.
• Immunization and health screenings including TB test, flu vaccine (or declination), COVID vaccine or declination, and other required titers/vaccines.
• Physical exam within one year of start date.
• Drug screening within 12 months of start date.
• References: Two required, supervisor level or above, with at least one within the last year.
• Employment application covering last 7 years with explanations for gaps.
• Work history verification for last 5 years.

• Facility-specific onboarding documents and training must be completed prior to start.
• Candidates must provide a recent, clear photo for badge issuance.
• Compliance with all facility policies and procedures is mandatory.
