Job Details

• Specialty: Hospice
• Schedule:

  • Friday – Sunday, 12-hour shifts
  • OR Thursday – Sunday, 4 shifts of 10 hours each
• Average Patients per Day: 5-7 (Geriatric cases)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• EMR System: Experience required with HCHB
• On-Call: Yes (details to be discussed during interview)
• Territory: Up to 60-mile radius from the hub/office
• Locals Accepted: Yes (at travel rate)
• Dress Code: Scrubs (any color), no jeans
• Device Provided: iPad (cell phone use not allowed)
• Mileage Reimbursed: Yes, at IRS standard rate

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
• Minimum 1 year of hospice nursing experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) EMR system

Additional Requirements

• Must complete a comprehensive background check within 90 days of start, including but not limited to:

  • SSN Trace
  • County searches for last 7 years
  • Sex Offender Registry
  • Motor Vehicle Records
  • Education and work history verification
• Fingerprinting required if candidate has not lived in Washington for the past 3 years (completed on-site)
• Physical exam within the last 12 months
• Fit mask test (N95 accepted)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (or TB questionnaire if applicable)
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Drug screening (9 panel) within last 12 months
• Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination form required
• COVID vaccination or facility-specific declination required
• Must provide 2 professional references within 2 years of start
• Full 7 years of work history documented with no gaps
• Annual competency exams and skills checklists as applicable

• Candidates must adhere to the dress code and device policies.
• Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel within the designated territory.
• On-call responsibilities are part of the role and will be discussed during the interview.
• Timely and accurate documentation is critical for this position.
