Job Opportunity: Technologist - X-Ray (Afternoons)

Location: Waterloo, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work setting includes Outpatient, Inpatient, Emergency Room (ER), and Surgery departments.
• Average scans per day: 100-120
• Equipment used: Siemens (x-ray room/portables) and GE C-arm in surgery.
• Responsibilities include bringing back outpatients and transporting ER patients.
• Workweek: 36-40 hours, with overtime billable after 40 hours.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years (24 months) of Radiologic Tech / X-Ray experience in a hospital setting.
• Prior travel experience required: Must have completed at least 1 travel contract within the previous 18 months in an X-Ray capacity.
• Experience with Siemens equipment (required).
• Experience with GE C-arm equipment in surgery (required).
• Experience working in outpatient, inpatient, ER, and surgery settings (required).
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system (required).
• Valid Iowa Radiology license (issuance timeline varies if non-active).
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
• Valid Driver’s License.

• Orientation date: Must be able to start on 3/23.
• Skills checklist specific to Radiologic Tech / X-Ray discipline required.
• Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months are preferred.
